"This piece combines my love for biking and my culture. When I think about the Dia de Los Muertos holiday, it makes me think about altars that people create for their deceased loved ones. People bring items that represent things their loved ones enjoyed doing in life and will continue to enjoy in the afterlife to place on the altar. I want to keep biking, even in the afterlife. The design itself is a circular altar that is also a bike chain, with sugar skulls and cempasuchil (marigold). There are hidden meanings embedded in the design. If you look closely, you will see the stages of life represented with different bikes for different ages."
All purchased artwork will be on display until the exhibition's conclusion. Kindly note that shipping costs are not included in the price of the artwork.
