"La Lechuza is a memory I have as a kid living in my small town. We would hear from our parents about the legend of La Lechuza, an owl that turned into a witch at night, that you can’t make eye contact with because she will take your eyes out. Our parents painted an image of a terrifying figure. In movies, they often make the witches and villains look not so terrifying. This is a La Lechuza that isn’t as terrifying as childhood stories and is more of a pop culture representation of the legend."
